Meek
Meek is having a gentle spirit or disposition, yielding to other actions and opinions yet having the ability to give Godly direction and insight. Jesus said, “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth” (Matthew 5:5). One should keep his words both soft and tender, because tomorrow he may have to eat then.

When perplexed and troubled
“Anyone seeking the kingdom is certain to find it for it is the Father’s kingdom” is the major theme of Jesus. It is a realm in which Jesus rules and to which those who trust him belong. See Luke 6:20; 11:20; 17:20-21.
“But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Monsignor Ronald Knox’s translation says, “No, make it your first care to find the kingdom of God.” “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” Richard Francis Weymouth’s translation says, “Dismiss your fears, little flock: your Father finds pleasure in giving you the kingdom” (Luke 12:31-32, KJV)

Somebody cares
Somebody knows when your heart aches
And everything seems to go wrong;
Somebody knows when the shadows
Need chasing away with song;
Somebody knows when you’re lonely,
Tired, discouraged and blue;
Somebody wants you to know Him,
And know that He dearly loves you.
Somebody knows when you’re tempted,
And you mind grows dizzy and dim;
Somebody cares when you’re weakest,
And farthest away from Him;
Somebody grieves when you’ve fallen,
You are not lost from His sight;
Somebody waits for your coming,
And He’ll drive the gloom from the night.
Somebody loves you when weary,
Somebody loves you when strong,
Always awaiting to help you,
He watches you – one of the throng.
Needing His friendship so holy?
Needing His watch care so true?
His Name? We call His name “Jesus,”
He love every one, He loves you.

God loves your enemies
Philip Yancey in his book, What’s so amazing about Grace? asks, why did Dietrich Bonhoeffer strive to love his enemies and pray for his persecutors? He had only one answer: “God loves his enemies – that is the glory of his love, as every follower of Jesus knows.” If god forgave our debts, how can we not do the same? Bonhoeffer wrote,
“Through the medium of prayer we go to our enemy, stand by his side, and plead for him to God. Jesus does not promise that when we bless our enemies and do good to them they will not despitefully use and persecute us. They certainly will. But not even that can hurt or overcome us, so long as we pray for them... We are doing vicariously for them what they cannot do for themselves.”

PMS
In today’s economy, these topics are discussed more then ever before: Power, Money and Sex. Power brings wealth. Power will change with the establishing of different players politically and economically. We speculate to make money, we worry whether we will continue to have money and if we will have enough. Meanwhile sex is used to sell most everything. Sex is given and sold at random.
Hard times always bring forth insight, direction and the manifestation of the Holy Spirit. This “God situation” is setting a new course for the world to see the handy work of God. A well-known New York preacher said, ‘The Bible says in the last days everything that can be shaken with be shaken. This shaking will include the church, the very elect of God: ‘Whose voice then shook the earth... Yet once more I [will] shake not the earth only, but also heaven’ (Hebrews 12:26).

Sprinkle the blood
In the name of Jesus Christ, by the power of His cross and blood, we bind the spirits, powers and forces of the earth, the underground, the air, the water, the fire, the netherworld and the satanic forces of nature. We rebuke any curses, hexes or spells and send them back to where they came from. We bind all interplay; inter action and communication in the world of evil spirits as it might affect us. We loosen Healing in this situation. We claim the protection of the shed blood of Jesus. We apply the blood of Jesus and fill the area with the precious blood of Jesus. “But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot” (1Peter 1:19, KJV) also read Acts 20:28; Exudus 12:5

Honor the King
Every day, I will fight to promote biblical values, and I do not want to do anything that would embarrass or reflect negatively on the cause of Christ. I am fallible, of course, and I will make mistakes at times. God has provided redemption for this. However, I will never waver in my determination to walk the straight-and-narrow and to follow the principle set forth in 1 Peter 2:16-17 (NIV): “Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as cover-up for evil; live as servants of God. Show proper respect to everyone: Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor the King.” ~~ Author Unknown

Buzz saw of life
Anxiety levels tend to go up as the alcohol levels in the bottles go down. Serving is repaid by love. The Holy Spirit makes our own explicit desire to belong a condition for being drawn into encountering a continuous relationship with our Lord. As you serve, you will see Jesus in the other person. Serve others, a practice that can help a person get through the difficulties of life.

A good friend
Asher Ledwidge a good friend of mine who is a Volunteer Prison Chaplain at LCI gave me a note today entitled “Human kindness”; Lord, make me a vessel of you divine love. Grant me inner peace, like still water drawn from your source of infinite love, let me be a fountain of human kindness.
Where there is hate let me bestow love, where there is darkness let me glow light. Where there is injury, let me show forgiveness. Where there is fear, let me sow faith despair let me grow hope. Arrogance let me flow humility.
Wherever religious or racial prejudice or any social rejection is come to afflict the human soul let me be there, not to curse the darkness more but be the light of a thousand candles glowing to make humanity whole.
Lord grant that I may seek first, not to be loved but to show love. Grant that I may pour contempt on my own selfish obsessive material desire, so forever higher and higher may flow a spiritual river of human kindness.

Prayer
If you would like pray please send me an e-mail at HeartsofMen@msn.com and I will consider it a privilege to pray for you.
Fear not
The most common command in the Bible is “fear not.” John Ortberg says, “‘Fear not’ is used 366 times in the Bible.” That is one for every day of the year and one more for leap year.
It is obvious here that God wants to tell us something. Repetition is used to make a point in a number of ways in Scripture. When you are dealing with the storms of life, God has the situation in his charge and waiting for your faith to arise for that given situation. Giving up is not an option. Keep walking even though you see no solution to you adversity then you will somehow discover that you are not alone. As He was with Joseph, the Lord is also with you (Genesis 37-46).

More like Jesus
If we put down our picket signs and picked up a basin of water and towel to wash feet with, then maybe the world would sit up and listen. On the other hand, maybe they wouldn’t. But either way, we’d be more like Jesus. ~~ Greg Stier, National youth leader of Dare 2 Share Ministries. [Christian Post, 1/23/08]

Courage
One of the most important claims we have in today’s society is being ourselves. This is true in some aspects but in affect we become cloned to something foreign yet distinctly common. We have picked our priorities in the faith here at the Warehouse church and agreed to allow others in our fellowship to disagree. Seeing things from a different background or domination is common in the kingdom of God. Also, what is most common is that it can become divisive.
I have underlined in my Scriptures, “We can never be so wise we do not need to learn in dialogue with others of opposing viewpoints.” Do I have the courage to be challenged? You are real if you can be open to the comments of someone’s challenge.
Solomon dealt with that in Proverbs 27:17 we read, “As iron sharpens iron so one man sharpens another.”

The Pursuit of God
The man who has God for His treasure has all things in One. Many ordinary treasures may be denied him, or if he is allowed to have them, the enjoyment of them will be so tempered that they will never be necessary to his happiness.
Or if he must see them go, one after one, he will scarcely feel a sense of loss, for having the Source of all things he has in One all satisfaction, all pleasure, all delight. Whatever he may lose, he has actually lost nothing, for he now has it all in One, and he has it purely, legitimately and forever. ~~ A. W. Tozer, The Pursuit of God

Well meaning
Sincere but sincerely wrong. Many sincere people are misguided and deceived. In the spirit of the age, our religious beliefs are often self-styled, ill conceived and sloppy syncretism. Scripture tells us there is a fierce battle. A conflict between good and evil is not only real, but it is an every day conflict to every one of us. The best keep secret is that Satan’s defeat has been assured and secured. We all, whether we want to believe this or not, are still a part of a larger battle, a struggle that has raged from the beginning of time and confronts us with greater intensity in this 21 century.
There is a simple solution, don’t merely ‘dabble’ in being a disciple of Jesus the Christ.

Bonhoeffer
This poem was written after the failure of the second attempt to assassinate Adolf Hitler, of which Dietrich played a role.
Suffering
“A change has come indeed.
Your hands, so strong and active, are bound:
In helplessness now, you see your action is ended:
You sigh in relief, your cause committed to stronger hands:
So now you may rest contented.
Only for one blissful moment could you draw near to touch freedom:
Then, that it might be perfected in glory, you gave it to God.”

Decree
Decree is a course of action or order that has the force of law or authoritatively determined by God. Psalms chapter two and the seventh verse says, “I will declare the decree; The Lord has said to me, You are My Son.” You cannot be in a better place where the King of Creation calls you My Son.

Purity of Truth
The Church of Christ is continually represented under the figure of an army; yet its Captain is the prince of Peace; its object is the establishment of peace, and its soldiers are men of a peaceful disposition. The spirit of war is at the extremely opposite point to the spirit of the gospel.
Yet nevertheless, the church of earth has, and until the second advent must be, the church militant, the church armed, the church warring, the church conquering. And how is this?
It is in the very order of things that so it must be. Truth could not be truth in this world if it were not a warring thing, and we should at once suspect that it were not true if error were friends with it. The spotless purity of truth must always be at war with the blackness of heresy and lies. ~~ Charles Haddon Spurgeon, known as the “Prince of Preachers”
